Monday, November 5

Welcome to the last week of the first quarter! I can’t believe it’s come and gone so quickly!

A few things to note:

- Students should now be collecting their read-a-thon pledges. Remember, it’s $100 for outdoor school and $170 for OMSI Science School.

- This week, students have Journal 9 due on Tuesday, and current events due on Thursday (there’s no school on Friday). They also have their third geography test on Thursday.

- Today a newsletter came home with conference information.

Seventh Grade Shirt Fundraiser

Download your shirt order form here.

Read-a-thon

The read-a-thon is ending today! Pledge forms are due so that amounts can be calculated…Otherwise, students should be collecting pledges! Remember, we need everyone’s help to raise $100 for each sixth grader and $170 for each seventh grader. Let me know if you have questions!

Journal 9

To write about an interaction Parvana had with someone in the market. We read two examples in class, and now students have the opportunity to create their own story. Make sure it has a beginning, middle and ending.

How could anyone so stupid end up as my sister!” Please re-write this conversation/situation so that Nooria is responding in a way that would have had more “team spirit.” Feel free to include Maryam, Mrs. Weera and Mother.) Due Wednesday, 10/31
3. There will be pizza available on Friday
4. Read-a-thon pledge forms due by Friday, 11/2 (or with special arrangements)

WE HAVE A HOME!
